The history of Tuscon
Tuscon's officially dates back to 1775 when Spanish soldiers founded Presidio San Augustin del Tucson. Since then many different cultures have occupied the city. Until the early 20th Century Tuscon was a place for people on their way to someone where else but stopped in Tuscon to fight the occasion conflict, Mexican, Morman, Confederate and Union soldiers have all faced off in Tuscon. Since then Tuscon has grown to a multi-cultural center for education, the arts, leisure and commerce.
