You’ll be asked how long of a session you would like. You will also be asked if this is your first visit. Many ‘first time’ customers appreciate being told what they can expect during their massage: while it is sometimes referred to as ‘passive yoga’, that doesn’t mean that you won’t feel the results! Also, knowing it’s the customer’s first time will encourage the therapist to look for your response at each stage of the massage. Your comments will help the therapist modify their approach. A very important aspect of the Thai massage process (and one often overlooked) is the communication between the therapist and the customer: what’s vigorous to one person is not to someone else, and what you may find subtle others may feel is slight.
