Fleet Feet Sports originally opened on Market St. in the Castro in 1981. Specializing in running shoes and apparel, the original owner moved the store to Chestnut St. in the early 90's. Now on to the third owners (Brett & Kim) the store still resides on Chestnut St. in the Marina District. Brett and Kim bought the store in 2006 and have since added new vendors (like Patagonia apparel, Balega Socks, and Superfeet Insoles) as well as increased the Half Marathon Training Programs to several times a year.
